RIDE SHARE
While it is fairly easy to catch a rideshare in front of 1050 Thomas Jefferson Street NW, if you choose to head into Georgetown it can be very congested with traffic. The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) has installed three passenger pick-up/drop-off zones in Georgetown to serve Uber and Lyft riders. These are curbside locations that are available 24/7 for pick-up and drop-off.
- East side of the 1200 block of Wisconsin Avenue (from Tory Burch to John Fluevog)
- 1066 Wisconsin Avenue (in front of Frye and Bluestone Lane)
- 3111 K Street (in front of AMC Theater)
PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION
Metro
There is no metro rail station in Georgetown. However, Foggy Bottom-GWU Metro station, located on the blue, orange, and silver lines, is a 15-minute walk or shorter shooter ride from Georgetown. Metro riders can also access Georgetown via the DC Circulator bus from the Rosslyn and Dupont Circle Metro stations.

There are two Circulator lines in Georgetown: east-west from Georgetown to Union Station via downtown; and from Rosslyn, VA through Georgetown to the Dupont Circle Metro station.

Street parking is extremely limited in Georgetown. Rates: $2/hour, Monday through Saturday from 7am to 10pm Sundays. Parking Restrictions: Please note that parking is not permitted Monday through Friday along M Street and on the 1100-1600 blocks of Wisconsin Avenue, NW from 7 to 9:30am. and 4 to 6:30pm.
On-street parking on residential streets in Georgetown is limited to two hours during hours of operation for vehicles without a Zone 2 Residential Parking Permit.
The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) and Parkmobile have created a citywide pay-by-phone parking system which allows residents, workers and visitors to use your mobile phones to pay for parking. Visit http://us.parkmobile.com/ to easily register.
