Without a doubt, it's a compelling, well-written play... with an excellent balance of both light humor and potent drama.

My first name really is Jake; I'm named after my grandfather.
Undergrad, I studied at the all-female Smith College, abroad at the Sorbonne, and came to NYC to get my MFA at the Actors Studio Drama School at the New School. I run my own production company, Tongue in Cheek Productions (TIC) to produce and create thought-provoking comedies. Before the pandemic, I directed, wrote, acted, and produced plays and new media in NYC. Over 2021-22, I developed Be Prepared, an immersive play set over a 3-mile walk outside. It follows an historic group of young women who marched from their boarding school to an internment camp in WWII... The Bechdel Group selected an excerpt for their Sunday Select series, March 2022. And for 2023 -- I'm developing a new play, Shut Up Martha, about Martha Mitchell, the loud-mouthed whistle-blower of the Watergate scandal, which I am bringing to festivals across the US this year. |
