LearNING CURVES
|
"Ms. Lipman moves wonderfully across the boards, has an excellent ear for dialogue, a strong sense of humor and comedy, as both scribe and thespian... like Mr. Palmenteri of 'A Bronx Tale' fame, [she] portrays all the characters with grace, ease, simplicity, and authenticity." -- ArtistWRITES
Learning Curves premiered on August 27 in Raleigh, NC at the Burning Coal Theater and appeared subsequently in the Emerging Artists Theatre's Spark Fest in September 2025 in NYC. I'm taking it on the road in 2026... to book Learning Curves at your theater, contact me here! |

A GIRL NAMED JAKE
|
My first name really is Jake; I'm named after my grandfather. I tell stories that are centered on women and that are equally thought-provoking and funny.
Undergrad, I studied at the all-female Smith College, abroad at the Sorbonne, and came to NYC to get my MFA at the Actors Studio Drama School at the New School. Since 2006, I've run my own production company, Tongue in Cheek Productions (TIC) to produce and create thought-provoking comedies. For TIC, I wear many hats -- performer, producer, director, playwright (not always at the same time -- however I did for the DC run of Shut Up Martha!). In my downtime, I love to swim, play the piano, and cartoon. |

Fun fact: that's me and William Douglas Turner, who played John Mitchell in Shut Up Martha |
